My name is Cody Sargeant and I am a second year at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Although my interests range from rock climbing to photography, since a young age my passion has been music. My parents raised me on Cat Stevens and Beatles and since I can remember, music is what brought me joy. I have been playing piano for 9 years, guitar for 7, and love to write songs when I find the time. I originally started Note for Note as a way of sharing music with friends, and as it continues to grow, I hope to keep its original intention of being a site to find new music, keep up with news, and most of all, get excited about music. In addition to Note for Note, I write band and album reviews for the Los Angeles college culture magazine, Pulse, and recently began training as a DJ for Cal Poly's radio station, KCPR. I plan to graduate spring of 2013, and hope to pursue a career in the music industry.
